Monique L'hullier Spring/Summer 2007 New York Fashion Week, Couture in the City
Ever since I saw her first collection several years ago, I said to myself Monique L'hullier will design my wedding dress. Beyond her bridal line, Monique's aesthetic is as stunning as ever. Her clothes are feminine and elegant. Each piece is designed to perfection. This spring/summer she has chosen to use delicious shades of olive, deep brown, gold and burgundy. Each dress is carefully structured whether it be sweeping evening gowns or a short tulip dress. Waists were accentuated with thin belts in solid black and gold. The movement and of the dresses and use of rusty gold gave an illusion of a modern day goddess, sans the stereotypical toga and wreath. Hair was swept back into tight buns for a chic polishd look. I love.
