Platform Pumps: The Trend Continues, Couture in the City Fashion Blog

The spring/summer trend of platform sandals continues this fall/winter with stacked heels in all shapes and sizes. This spring/summer was defined by the patent leather Christian Louboutin stilettos and wooden Chloe chunky heels but this fall/winter we can look forward to YSL’s Now Look pumps and Gucci’s patent stilettos.



This is the basic shape of Gucci’s signature f/w stilettos. They come in an array of colours and designs from python skin to glittery purple patent leather.


These Chloe shoes are quite similar to their summer shoes but has a sleeker look. Models on the catwalk were made to wear them with long thick knit socks. Looked good on the models, but watch what you pair them with if you wanna go for that look.
