Ahh...the minimalist's life
If your closet looks anything like mine, then you probably have shoes piled on the floor, purses piled on the top shelf, and tons of clothes crammed on the rack. If your are also like me, then you are probably a shopaholic, and have way more stuff than you could ever need.
Maybe it's time to re-evaluate our closets.
One of the best new fashion ideas is closet shopping...no, not buying a new closet, but looking in your own closet before you go out and buy the newest trends. Even if you don't find anything, a little spring cleaning can go a long way. There may be something to say about having only five great bags and only five great pairs of shoes instead of, like, 50.
Closet shopping is a great way to not only fully realize what you have, but to make a few bucks in the process.
Remember that Louis Vuitton bag that you had to have last year, but is now collecting dust? Put it to work! There are a number of "bag-swap" websites where you can loan your designer or vintage bags in exchange for other bags or cash.
If your maternity clothes are still lingering in your closet on your baby's first birthday, it's either time to stash them in a storage container or sell them. Maternity clothes are always a hot commodity in on-line auctions and at consignment shops...you may be surprised at how much cash you can rake in!
There's also a great sense of do-gooder feeling when you donate of out of style or ill-fitting clothes to charity...plus it free's up space for new goodies!
