Coach Shoe Trends for Fall 2006

Is it just me or does Coach have some of the best shoes for fall 2006? I don't actually own any Coach shoes...yet...but maybe it's time to add a pair or two to my collection?

Couture in the City's favorite

Keira Slingbacks - $228 - The steel color makes a great statement this fall 2006 - try a new color, metallics are still in either way. Not to mention the platforms are hot.

Halloween Style

Sick and tired of kiddie costumes for Halloween? Don’t want to be stuck dressed as a witch again? We don’t blame you…here at LeFashionista, we celebrate fashion 365 days a year…and especially on Halloween. Check out these “haute” costume ideas for some great creepy couture:

Marie Antoinette: Thanks to Kiki Dunst and Sofia Coppola, this costume is going to be a big hit this year! Though heads should roll for creating such a boring movie (sorry, bad pun), the costumes and cinemetography were gorgeous, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t steal this style. If you can’t find a costume, then get a giant curly powdered wig, lace fan, corset and other French Revolution-era costume pieces. If your significant other is tagging along, have him dress as Louis XVI for an added touch. Bonus Points for creating a costume where it looks like you are carrying your own head. read more

Omiru Poll Results: Layered Necklaces are In
We asked: Are Layered Necklaces In or Out?

Pictured: Lee Angel Oval Link Necklace | $425 at Scoop NYC.

You said: Layered Necklaces are still In. 58% are still all over this trend, while 14% think they’re Out. The remaining 28% think this jewelry trend is On the Way Out.

Omiru’s take: We love the drama that Layered Necklaces create for an outfit. With the ability to take a simple outfit from vanilla to cookies & cream, Layered Necklaces are an essential in this era of mannered, ladylike dressing to give outfits a bit more flavor. In order to take full advantage of this jewelry trend, we recommend pairing necklaces with compatible colors but wildly different textures.

Lash Out "It"

Celebrity lash-fever has spread all over the world. False Eye LashesMadonna’s personal makeup artist Gina Brooke, who helped create the singer’s disco-inspired look, is credited with setting off a false eyelash frenzy by commissioning a pair of Shu Uemera mink lashes for Madonna. Oprah ordered 200 pairs of the real fur lashes. Let’s not forget Madonna’s other commission fluttering 1.2 carats of diamonds at $10,000 a pair. read more

Pace Yourself With MioPink

Mio Watch has created three adorable special-edition watches, called MioPINK, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Not only do I love the charitable aspect of these watches—10 percent of proceeds to go the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation—but I also love the look. After all, it's not often you find a sports watch that's both functional and stylish.

There is nothing "Juicy" about this handbag...

I hate, wait, scratch that, DESPISE the new Juicy Couture 'Back to School Velour Small Bowler'; I think it looks like an 8th grade home-economics class project gone horribly wrong.

You know that Juicy is getting lazy when they start using their cutting floor scraps to make a handbag. Just because you have an ugly bag, some plaid fabric and a sewing machine, does not mean that an atrocity like this should be placed on the market. For shame, Juicy.

Looking at this train-wreck of a bag, I started singing Fergie's London Bridge song and now I'm just irritated because I cannot get that blasted tune out of my head.

Dear Juicy,

Please stop trying to be Burberry and get back to the drawing board.

Designer Tip of the Day: Winter Boots for Women

When it comes to winter boots for the 2006 - 2007 seasons, women have loads of options. Booties, ankle boots and knee-high boots are all hot, and no matter what you're heel preference is, there's plenty of variety.

Here are some of the hottest trends to look for:

Winter Boots with Fluffy Collars: Ankle, mid-calf and knee-high boots can all be found with fluffy collars this season. From faux fur to shearling, and lots of fluff to bits of fluff, it's definitely the season for luxurious trim.

Slouch Boots: Slouchy shafts can be found on both dress and casual styles this season. Especially hot boots that combine the loose uppers with belts and straps.

Belted Winter Boots: And speaking of belts and straps, they're hot! Look for them on everything from urban styles with flat heels, to high heel stunners.

Lace-Up Boots: With styles ranging from those inspired by the Victorian era to edgy urban casuals, there's no shortage of lace-up boots this season. In addition to making the boot easier to get on and off, laces add a bit of pop to even the simplest of winter boots.

Futuristic Fashion: Balenciaga's 2007 Collection

Balenciaga has transformed their runway models into Cyber-Goddesses with their new futuristic, Sci-Fi reminiscent collection. These hot, she-droids rock the runway with sultry safety goggles, elongated and sleek black jackets, dresses jigsawed from patent leather; & space crew shirts with wide shoulders and high white collars.

Looking at the collection, my head swarms with images from futuristic flicks such as Terminator, The Matrix, Mad Max, Tron and even Star Wars.

For the most part, I love this collection; it is sleek, chic and fabulously futuristic. Nicolas Ghesquiere is a God of a designer and I applaud him for bringing his vision to light.

Where I draw the line is the C-3PO leggings; some things are best left to the movies.

Fashion Mishap of the Week: Zooey Deschanel

Shiver Me Timbers...

by Jillian

ARRR Maties, I'm Zooey, the worst-dressed pirate on the seven seas of sinful outfits...

Okay, I know that Pirates 2 was pretty popular and everything, but WTF is up with this ensemble? AND what's with the bow in the hair? I got it, she woke up and said, "I want to look like a pirate today, but I am NOT wearing the bandana, I hate bandanas!"

Zooey Deschanel is usually so fashion forward, she was my idol; I loved her and then she turns around and struts a nightmare like this... she's 20 seconds away from being busted for shop-lifting. It's a sad world.

All this outfit needs is a plastic sword, & an eye-patch.

Ooh-la-Lindsay-Lohan!

NOTE: Image from Getty Images

I saw a couple clips of the young, trendsetting celeb crowd on TV a couple days ago, so I thought I'd hunt down some pictures. Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan were especially looking great, but I just have a picture of Lindsay to share today. I picked her outfit b/c Paris's was pretty but kinda boring. Nicole's was super cool but kind of a weird combination - it worked, but I could never pull it off. So, here's Lindsay Lohan looking fab as always:

I love the whole outfit she's wearing - the tights, the (looks like) ankle booties, and especially the dress - it's gorgeous!
