New York, NY – (December, 2006) – Mathew McConaughey, Betsey Johnson, Kelly Ripa, Christina Milian, Debra Messing, Romero Britto, Kelly Preston, Jessica Simpson and many more artists and celebrities put their artistic skills to work for UGG® Australia’s fourth annual Art & Sole Collection. Using the word ‘hope’ as their muse, the select group painted signature UGG® Australia Classic Boots creating one- of-a-kind pieces of art. December 1 – December 14, 2006, the hand painted boots will be auctioned off on www.uggaustralia.com.

Art & Sole is a nationwide program created by UGG® Australia to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. “Art & Sole is our opportunity to give back to a great cause like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and help to make a difference,” says Connie Rishwain, President of UGG® Australia. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, located in Memphis, Tenn., is the world’s premier pediatric cancer research center. Its mission is to find cures for children with catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.

Since its first edition in 2003, Art & Sole has raised more than $60,000 for charity by auctioning off boots that reflect the artist’s personality and dedication to charity. This year, Betsey Johnson created magenta studded boots and tattoo artist Tom Berg airbrushed his boots with a Southern California theme. Each unique and thoughtful design reflects the genuine enthusiasm to support this noteworthy cause.

Jennifer Lopez Voted Best Dressed, Couture in the City Fashion Blog

Source

Bazaar Magazine has recently named Jennifer Lopez as their Best-Dressed woman of the year. Although I don't agree with her fashion sense, I must say that she is probably one of the most inventive and daring dressers out there. Case in point:

The bubble dress:

The head wrap

And the notorious green Versace dress:

Could anyone else successfully wear those peices? Probably not...but Jennifer has the confidence to wear what she likes, no matter what anyone thinks...and I am totally jealous.

My Favorite Double-Digit Diva Haven: B&LU

With the holidays upon us, going to the mall is like running with the bulls in Pamplona without the fiestas and red handkerchiefs. I, for one am not a fan of going shopping with a bunch of caffeinated, sales-driven she devils who would trample you with delight over the last Burberry scarf @ Nordstrom.

Call me a homebody (I've been called worse), but I LOVE shopping online; there is nothing more exhilarating than receiving bunches of apparel & accessory filled boxes in the mail and opening them with childlike anticipation... (insert red-bicycle
Christmas analogy here)

If you're planning a shopping day in your PJ's, I reco
mmend clicking away to my favorite Double-Digit Diva haven: B&LU - their clothes are affordable while being fabulously fresh, classic and chic.

My B&LU Favorites:

Pheobe Dress: $72.00
Helena Blouse: $34.00

Courtney Trousers: $46.00P.S. Receive 20% OFF @ B&LU with the following Discount Code: "blu20"

Hot Trends: Ankle Zip Pants, Couture in the City Fashion Blog

Nicky Hilton
Nicky Hilton

RED ALERT photo
Madonna

Just when you thought you were on top of the fashion game, style icons like Madge and style icon wannabe's like Nicky Hilton show you what's up. Of all of the styles from the last 20 years that I hoped would never return, tapered leg, ankle zip jeans were among them. However, I am pleasantly surprized that these styles are actually flattering and put an interesting twist on skinny peglegged jeans.

A quick internet search showed that these are hard to find at your usual shopping haunts, but maybe by spring ankle zip jeans will be available to the masses. In the mean time, drop us a hint and let us know if you know where to get them, and if you think they are a fashion hit or miss. If acid wash comes back, we are all done for...

Festive Party Dresses, Part V: Minidresses

Jenni Kayne Sequined Apron Top/Dress, $965

The holidays are fast approaching, which means it's time to start hunting for a cute party dress to get you through those holiday cocktail gatherings. So this week, I'm looking at the hottest party-dress trends, so that you can find the frock that's perfect for you. For my final installment today, I've saved the most fun for last: minidresses. Obviously, this isn't something you want to wear to the office shindig, but it's a daring and undoubtedly festive option for the right occasion. [FabSugar]

Double-Digit Diva Fashion: Plus-Size Kimono Dresses…

Stunning Kimono dresses are all the rage and I must say that I find the style flattering for all body types, particularly the fuller- figured fashionista.

My favorite feature of this style are the flowy and feminine sleeves; they are extremely flattering and ultra fabulous. Most Double-Digit Divas I know never wear a dress without the token cardigan sweater in order to hide their arms, but with these no nonsense numbers, the “cardi” will be a thing of the past.

Pretty colors and passion provoking patterns aside, I love the Kimono dress because of the tastefully plunging neckline and the flattering waistline. The empire waist line is raised above the natural waistline and cuts just below the bust; this combination camouflages a bottom-heavy figure or a thick waste.

Sign me up for these numbers, I Think I’m turning Japanese!
